Recently I got back from Louisiana fly fishing with Capt. Greg Dini and photographer Sam Root from Saltyshores.
We flew into Louisiana Monday night about 8pm, right when Tropical storm Ida was making land fall. Unbelievably Soutwest airlines did not cancel our flight. We flew in right behind the storm.

A Two-Island Road Trip 11-10/11
Left Huntington Harbor about 1:30pm with a great crew and more gear and beer than this boat has every carried before (or will ever carry again!!!). Went out to the bait barge and got a great scoop of dines from Nachos and then took off for Cat for an evening of hoopin. Flat calm ride across the channel made for very pleasant traveling and gave us time to get the hoopin gear ready.

Billy Santiago Jr. docked Frank LoPreste’s Royal Polaris at Fisherman’s Landing November 11 after a ten-day trip with 31 anglers to the southern banks and other Baja fishing spots. The new season’s first Baja cow, or tuna over 200 pounds, was part of the catch.
