Departed Westport at 0030 (12:30AM) early Sunday morning and did the slow chug towards the fishing grounds. Started fishing at 46.22N X 125.34. First fish in the box at 0645. Caught all 16 within a .75NM radius of the first spot. Saw no jumpers and the signs aren't really good yet, but there are some fish. Caught a couple in the 30-32lb. range and a couple of little peanuts. The rest were normal. Great day with Cornfed, Arvin on the Iron, Dogfish D.

Hello there all took my niece out on her first 3/4 day trip to Catalina Island. It was a nice warm day good water temps, flat and calm. Lots of the 3 b's bass, bonita, barracuda.
Put on a fat chovy on my niece's line and told her have at it. After hitting the water no more than 2 minutes her line was ripping and hook up. after about a 15 minute fight there was color and on board came her first yellowtail.
Kudos to the crew of Spitfire.
